How we build these tools
Every calculator uses current official figures for tax year 2026-27: the Income Tax Department’s slabs, rebate, surcharge and cess, the Income-tax Rules, 2026 for HRA, the EPF wage ceiling of ₹25,000 notified by the Ministry of Labour and Employment in September 2026, EPFO’s interest rate, and the gratuity rules under the labour codes that came into force on 21 November 2025. Each tool lists the figures it uses, the year they apply to and links to the source, and shows when we last checked them.
The employer checker uses the 8,417 openings we read every day from 103 employers’ own careers sites. Nothing you type into any tool is sent to us or stored: the calculations happen on your own device.
These tools give estimates to help you plan and compare offers. For your own tax return, check the Income Tax Department’s e-filing portal, your payslip and Form 16, or ask a chartered accountant.
