Privacy Policy

Jobs Hindustan is a free job search website for India. We do not ask you to create an account, and we never collect CVs or job applications. This policy explains the little information we do handle, and how advertising on the site works.

Who we are

Jobs Hindustan (jobshindustan.com) is an independent website. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@jobshindustan.com or use our contact form.

Information we collect

Server logs. Like every website, our web host records technical details of each visit (IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are kept by our host for a limited period and are not used to identify you.
Messages you send us. If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name (if you give it), your email address, your message, and the IP address and browser it was sent from. We use these only to read and reply to your message and to block spam, and we delete messages within 12 months unless we need them to deal with a report of fraud.
Email updates. If you subscribe to our job emails, we keep your email address, the place and job field you chose, the page you signed up on, the dates you subscribed and confirmed, and a scrambled (hashed) form of your IP address that we use only to block abuse. We use these only to send the emails you asked for; our web host stores them for us, and we never sell or share them. Sign-ups that are not confirmed within 30 days are deleted. If you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you straight away and keep only your address and the date, so that we do not email you again by mistake. Write to us if you would like that removed too.
Searches. Job searches run in your browser and are not sent to us.

When you click an apply button you leave Jobs Hindustan for the employer's own careers site, and the employer's privacy policy applies to your application.

Advertising and cookies

We show ads served by Google AdSense to cover the cost of running the site. Advertisers have no say in which jobs we list.

Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, Google shows a consent message so you can choose how your data is used for ads. Your choices and rights

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without them, although ads may become less relevant. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and, for visitors from the UK and Europe, the GDPR, you can ask us what personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct or delete it. Write to contact@jobshindustan.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Jobs Hindustan is meant for job seekers aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and the date below.
