This position is part of the Service Excellence, a transversal organization into Sanofi Business Operations. Service Excellence designs, implements, and maintains scalable, efficient, and user-centric Enterprise Service Management (ESM) capabilities that connect Sanofi employees and partners with operations through standardized frameworks and solutions​

The Senior ServiceNow Developer serves as the technical owner of ServiceNow platform development, ensuring optimal implementation of solutions across service management processes. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and continuously improving ServiceNow applications to drive business value throughout the service lifecycle. The Senior Developer manages complex technical implementations while leading strategic development initiatives that require sophisticated coding and platform transformation.

Main responsibilities:

ServiceNow Platform Development

Design and implement ServiceNow solutions in collaboration with DIGITAL teams, in alignment with Service Designers and Business Analysts

Take accountability for code quality, performance, and adherence to development standards

Develop and maintain applications, workflows, and integrations within the ServiceNow platform

Establish technical roadmaps that support business objectives and enhance service delivery capabilities

Solution Architecture and Implementation

Guide development teams and business analysts on optimal technical approaches and provide expert implementation support

Ensure coding best practices are followed in every sprint/delivery

Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for developed applications and processes

Coordinate with third-party vendors to manage technical activities and ensure timely completion

Drive continuous improvement of implemented solutions based on performance metrics and user feedback

Technical Leadership

Lead or contribute to strategic development projects requiring complex coding and platform customization

Coordinate activities with cross-functional team members to drive project completion and technical excellence

Establish and maintain development standards, methodologies, and governance

Identify and mitigate technical risks through proactive planning and code reviews

Stakeholder Management and Technical Advocacy

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions

Build partnerships across the organization to champion effective technical approaches

Facilitate technical workshops and collaborative sessions to align stakeholders on solution architecture

Mentor and guide junior developers, providing technical leadership and support

Innovation and Continuous Improvement

Identify emerging ServiceNow capabilities and technologies that could benefit the organization

Recommend process and technology improvements based on platform capabilities and industry best practices

Implement measurement frameworks to evaluate solution effectiveness

Drive adoption of new capabilities through technical enablement and knowledge sharing

About you

Experience

5+ years of experience in ServiceNow development and customization

Proven track record in implementing and managing ServiceNow solutions in enterprise environments

Experience with ServiceNow modules including CSM, SPM and HRSD platform capabilities

Background in service management with focus on technical solution delivery

Experience in a global, cross-functional environment

ServiceNow certifications preferred (Administrator, Developer, Implementation Specialist)

Soft skills

Well-organized with ability to structure, prioritize, and meet deadlines

Excellent communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts at different organizational levels

Hands-on approach to problem-solving and solution implementation

Effective business partnering and customer relationship management

Strategic thinking with ability to connect technical solutions to business outcomes

Technical skills

Advanced in ServiceNow platform development (JavaScript, business rules, UI policies, client scripts)

Advanced in ServiceNow administration and configuration (CSM, SPM, HRSD modules)

Advanced in integration technologies (REST, SOAP, MID Server)

Advanced in workflow design and implementation

Advanced in data privacy principles and security best practices

Intermediate in designing, developing, and maintaining ServiceNow Employee Self Service (ESS) and Service Portal solutions

Intermediate in developing and customizing Service Portal widgets using AngularJS, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript

Intermediate in configuring and maintaining Employee Center / Service Portal knowledge management capabilities

Working knowledge of ITIL, Agile, and Continuous Improvement frameworks

Understanding of data modelling and database design techniques

Languages: English (fluent)
